I know this topic is from a long long long time ago, but it's the only one that pertains to the search I made. I just got a G27 because it's basically one of the only wheels that also work on macs more or less out of the box, only to discover it won't work on PS4 straight on.... There are different solutions out there, but I came across yours and it seems the most complete and performing. Regarding the message I'm replying to, was it about the Cross Hair or S1 product? In other words, which one should I buy to have support for G27 + PS4 + F1 2017? Thank you!

Bonus question: I'm prioritizing wheel functionality for the aforementioned game on PS4, but if the same product also works for the Switch (same wheel, other games), all the better...

try S1, it will let you use G27 on both PS4 and SWITCH.
on PS4, it has Expert Mode and Legacy Mode support.
on SWITCH, it has only legacy mode support.
