Title: activate macro from stick
Post by: Natrix5369 on September 13, 2024, 09:21:43 AM
Please make macros activation via stick strength

I made macros that are activated through LS But due to the dead zone, macros are activated automatically.  Maybe it's worth adding activation of the macro only when there is N stick deflection?

Please tell us:
1. Which console are you using
2. Which game are you playing
3. Why do you ask us to add that feature
4. Which macro are you using, and the macro's effect
5. Currently, how do you activate this macro?

PS5, dualsense

I make macro that is activated by RS or LS. But since I have a stick drift, the macro is always activated, and not when I control LS or RS. Please add the ability to set the "strength" for activating the macro using LS or RS

maybe you can just add some to the deadzone in our APP to block your stick drift.

as far as i understand, the dead zone does not affect the activation of the macro. The macro is still activated. In any case, i don't see any difference

Just checked again. If you set the dead zone, the macro does indeed not work.

However, I ask you to add activation of the macro only when the stick is deflected N. For example, "50%, 100% " (can specify in 1% step). This will allow you to create more logical macros. The function is very necessary for the implementation of "flick stick", "counter strafe"

flickstick - this is a mechanic when the character turns in the direction the stick is pointed. For example, if I pull the stick down, the character will turn 180*

This is a useful feature that I would use when playing with a gyroscope

May I ask why you use LS/RS to activate the macro? And which game are you playing?

Some games require the character to stop abruptly before shooting. On a computer, this is done via the A and D keys. But on a gamepad, this is almost impossible to do. So I wrote a macro that is activated via LS.

For example, I run to the left while holding LS (+ = -100) , macro is activated. When you press the shoot button, it executes LS (x = 100), delay 120ms, shoot. thus, the character shoots accurately.

If you make macro group activations with a certain stick deviation, you can create convenient things.

I play on a gamepad. That's the problem. Keyboard and mouse are banned in the game. That's why I play on a gamepad with a gyroscope. And to do these tricks, you need macros. And it's impossible to write a macro now, because the macro is activated by any deviation of the stick. Ideally, add a whole function so that you can turn on the reverse of movement before shooting. However, if the character is standing, then do not activate the reverse
