What USB cord to use for my controller?

Can someone help me here I'm at my wits end. I keep getting the error code AA00100010003 which tells me it has something to do with the cord i have used to plug in my controller to A1 socket. Is there a specific usb brand I should be using or can anyone recommend one to me. I have tried 4 different ones with two different Xbox controllers and have had no luck at all. I have yet to even be able to use the reasnow cause it keeps shutting down with this error code before I can do anything. Im on PC is that makes any difference.

if you are gaming on PC, there is no need for a controller to be connected to USB1 of S1, just leave it open.
plug your mouse and keyboard to USB2 and USB3,
then connect your S1 to a PC.
it shall work.
