so confused, can i no-recoil on rust PC or not

so everything i watched before getting this lead me to believe i could do the following

plug S1 into pc,
plug my keyboard mouse into it,
program a macro
set macro for no recoil to a hot key,
blast away...

instead i plug it in
plug M+K in and lose all functionality of them (app still reads the movements)
and i cant see a rust profile even though there a post saying there is one

im only interested in playing on pc and RUST,

all the console features are just a bonus that i might look into later

some help or guidance would be appreciated

Connect your mouse and keyboard to the S1 first, then connect the S1 to the PC.

so i have tried this and its the same result, mouse is inoperative yet it still registers the movements in the app

*mouse is a Logitech g502, and keyboard is a k95, both are indicated as compatible

So it can't be because of the g502, I have that too. Does the app show your mouse and keyboard? You can also create a custom game profile if the game Rust is not listed.

I think you still need to plug in controller, set rust on pc controls on that controller, and then you can set game profile and configure all reasnow goods..

Actually, you NEED controller, even on pc, because reasnow emulates gamepad signals from k/m signals, otherwise it is just usb hub with no additional settings

Hm, it works for me without a controller. I can also create macros. But maybe it helps if a controller is connected.

If no controller is connected to the S1, an XB360 controller is automatically simulated / emulated on the PC

so i got it working, the issue was i needed to have steam starting in big picture mode so it forces controller support.. i was trying it the normal way

some notes for others

* i suggest having 2 keyboards and mice connected (1 to reasnow 1 to pc), it makes it aiot easier to tweak ingame settings that you wont be able to access with the controller ( such as console commands for sensitivity )

* i did not require a controller to be connected, it defaults to 360 controller

try "keyboard & mouse passthrough" in "global settings",
it will send your keyboard and mouse outputs to PC directly instead of turning them into a controller.

Will that still enable you to use the macro ability? Or does that get lost when enabling passthrough? TIA

macros can only be used in controller mode, not in keyboard&mouse mode.
but you can switch between these 2 modes easily.

Maybe an S1+C1 bundle will be a good choice for you,
just one set of mouse and keyboard will do.
