Rainbow Six Siege settings are weird since new operation
« on: July 04, 2021, 09:17:21 AM »
Hey guys,
after taking a break for a week, I realized that the current R6 settings(both classic and updated) are very weird. The movement feels fast at times and sometimes its way too slow. I play with 500hz and 3500 dpi, I also tried 5000 dpi, without any big difference. What I also realized is that the movement is very "jittery" even though I didn't change anything. Do you know if Ubisoft tweaked some controller settings for the new operation or am I the only one with these problems?

restore all the in-game settings in R6 to defaults, and then change only the necessary ones are recommended in our APP.

if this fails to help, please keep us updated,
will check the game's behavior here.

I have the same problem.  reasnow s1 behaves differently each time.  I find it difficult to accurately aim where I need to ... but I have it not only this season.  it's hard for me to explain what's wrong.  but sometimes it works well after playing for a long time.  The most interesting thing is that reasnow can work differently on different accounts!  while the settings on each account are exactly the same!  on some, everything is perfect, on the other, something lags

I found out the reason why the game behaved so terribly. I play on PS5 and sadly, the Dualsense is not supportet by Reasnow which means I had to buy a terrible third party controller (Hori Pad Mini). The reason why the game felt so off were not the settings but the controller itself, every movement was incredibly inconsistent. I downloaded the PS4 version of R6 and connected a Dualshock 4 to it and the game felt amazing, just like it used to be. My question would be if the S1 will support the Dualsense some day or if there is a good third party controller out there that matches the quality of a dualshock 4.

and it seems to me that this happened on ps4 as well.  maybe it started working well for you because you reconnected it.  I also have it working well when I reconnect it, but it does not help every time.

Yeah, its very weird. I played for a couple of hours with the Hori again and sometimes it feels alright and sometimes it feels like I have my deadzone on 0. This is incredibly annoying and ruins the experience for me. But maybe its just the S1 starting to show its age.

try changing "Original Controller Deadzone" to 30 or 50 in Global Settings in our APP.
if it's caused by your controller, this might help.

but before that, please do restore all the in-game settings in R6 to defaults,
and then change only the necessary ones that are recommended.

It's not because of the Hori. On PS4 I had the same problem. The emulator needs to connect several times and the chance that it will work as it should. The problem is in the emulator as if you go to another account in PS4 then it can work better. Or worse if before it worked well

trust me, please.
S1 will not change its behavior if it's used in the same way and with the same settings.
just show us more details of yours,
we'd love to try our best to help.

a video will be better.
you can upload the video to youtube or other file-sharing servers, and send us the link.

you need to move the mouse slower than usual so that the emulator reads the movements well and the transfer of movement to the game does not seem so slow.

I set "Original Controller Deadzone" to 30 and it seems to me that everything works better.  I do not know yet what is connected with the reconnection of the emulator.  but I have already rebooted the set-top box 2 times and everything works the way I want... I used to have 16

if a bigger deadzone helps, that means there are some irregular inputs from your controller's right stick,
which will bring unexpected movements to your mouse control.

1. 5000dpi / 500hz será uma boa escolha para o seu mouse.
2. Clássico ou Atualizado, você terá a mesma precisão.
por favor, mantenha o atualizado, a maioria de nossos clientes está usando este.
