PS5 and strikepack support
« on: January 13, 2021, 02:25:41 PM »
Dear support team, I did send this message to support email but I did not receive any response, so I think I should try my luck in forum.

I just got my PS5 recently and found out my  PS4 strikepack-fps-dominator controller does not with S1, S1 upgraded with v5.4.8 already and is connected to PS5, the controller is connect to USB1, it keeps giving me redlight 2 beeps or redlight 1 beeps.

Would really appreciate if the team and add support for this as soon as possible, or please let me know if I did configuration wrong.

Firmware: V5.4.8
APP:using 'controller and joy sitck' config

PS. Info about strikepack-fps-dominator:  https://collectiveminds.ca/shop/playstation/ps4/strikepack-fps-dominator/

Thanks for the help!

it must be the PS5 controller, which caused this issue.

please find one of the following controllers to work as the authentication controller:
Hori Wired Mini Gamepad (PS4)   (recommended!)
Horipad FPS plus (PS4)
Razer Raiju(PS4)
Hori Tactical Assault Commander 4(PS4)
Hori Tactical Assault Commander M1(PS4)

Mine is the same strike pack PS4 as well as well, basicly I follow every thing you did in your video 'How to use ReaSnow S1 on PS5', and when I connect S1 to PC everything works fine, but when I connect it to PS5, it still give 2 two beeps red light, but if I change to standard PS4 dualshoch 4 controller, it works.

1, is there any setting I need to change for this in APP?
2, any specified USB port the controller should connect to? I'm using USB1 now as your diagram shows

Please answer the following questions as many as possible,
so we can provide better support for you.

1. ReaSnow S1 firmware version/ APP version
2. your console and game
3. When did you buy this ReaSnow S1?
Does it ever work properly?
4. The color and state(breathing or stable) of the LED indicator on ReaSnow S1 when you are in trouble?
do you hear any continuous beeps? how many beeps do you hear in one cycle?
5. Which peripherals are connected to ReaSnow S1? please provide the specific model and producer.
PS: All peripheral should be connected to ReaSnow S1 first, before connecting it to a game console.
6. Do you see any indication on the screen of your console during the trouble?
7. Can you guess what has caused your trouble? If you don't know, please just skip this question.
8. which config has been activated in ReaSnow S1 when you are facing this trouble?
9. a video to show us your trouble will be better
you can upload the video to youtube or other file sharing server, and send us the link.

just checked your video,
DS4 shall be connected to USB1 of ReaSnow S1 directly,
and strikepack shall be connected to USB 2 or 3 with another DS4.

And the config "controller and joy sitck" is recommended.

OK, with DS4 connect to USB1 and strikepack connect to USB2, my strikepack finally can be use via S1, but it still does not let me play PS5 native game.

the reason I'm buying S1 was because I think I can use thrid party controller to play PS5 game as manual stated?

I hope I didn't misunderstanding something here, I did follow the "workarounds for ps5" guide at the very begining, and I was following 'Option 3: 3rd-Party Controller' and that's why I connected my strikepack to USB1 as shown in my video, but it did not work and that's why I started this thread, again, my purpose is to play PS5 game with 3rd party controller Strikepack, may I have your help on what's the correct setting for this or if I didi something wrong? thanks

PS. I can connect Strikepack to my ps5 and it works but it will only allow me to play PS4 game on it.

1. strikepack is not a 3rd-party controller, it gains no authorization from sony.
2. only a few 3rd-party controllers can provide authentication for ps5,
we have listed them in that document, and your strikepack is not on that list.

I'm on 5.4.8 firmware @Richard.
When I plug it in for the first time, it flashes for a bit, then the controller and the S1 both go off.

Here's a video of what's happening....

hi, Nacon Revolution Pro 3 is what we tested.
but here are still some suggestions for you:
1. upgrade your firmware to V5.4.21 and then try it again.
http://www.reasnow.com/download/ReaSnowApp/ReaSnow%20Flash%20Tool%20V5.4.21.zip
2. remove all peripherals which are connected to USB 2 and 3
3. find some shorter USB cables to connect you nacon controller to ReaSnow S1
4. set the mode properly on the back of nacon controller(wired mode)
5. or try some other controllers which are listed in "workarounds for PS5.pdf"

Richard you are the man!!!!

Upgraded to V5.4.21 and everything is working fine now.   :)

Only sad thing is that I previously bought a used  Nacon Revolution pro version 1 for cheap, but that didn't work. Was giving me the same error. And that's why I bought this brand new expensive version 2.

I wish I had reached out to you earlier before buying this one. I'm sure the old version 1 I returned would have worked with this update. Thanks again Richard. You customer support is awesome 💯
