controller axis mapping to joystick axis X,Y
« on: March 15, 2020, 06:14:59 AM »
Hi,

I need some help. My joystick movements are detected by S1 as X+, Y+, X-, Y- numbers.
I was going to map these controller left stick UP, RIGHT, DOWN, LEFT  directions.
Unfortunately I found that my joystick is possibly buggy and together with X,Y signals, RX+(100) is detected by S1 every time joystick stick is moved. As the consequence controller gets mapped to RX signal.
After some analysis I have hope that I could copy/paste mapping from another profile if I would have it.
Disappointingly, standard joystick profile which could be installed in S1 manager app has controller axis mapped to LS Up, LS Down, etc as the first column. Second column is not mapped at all.
Could you somehow produce, export and send to me profile which has left stick axis mapped to X and Y signals of joystick? Then I will import and copy/paste these mappings to my profiles as needed.

Best regards,
Alan

Richard I was actually coming on here to comment about this issue myself, as I have stopped using my ReaSnow and back to my xim as I can’t use my analog keypad. Every time I go to map or fix something it shows RX100 and can’t get it to go away. Don’t have the issue with the Sony Nav but that limits me to just one mouse as it needs more buttons with a Nav. The analog keypad I use is an azeron keypad and it was working fine but not anymore.

Latest firmware from page
Happens on both consoles PS4/Xbox
Everything else works fine and shows up regular

By a chance my device is also Azeron keypad with analog stick.
I am really not sure whether Azeron firmware is emits correct values of analog joystick USB protocol, because Azeron keypad has only one stick configured as analog joystick, but it has no buttons or any additional axis. All other buttons are reported as  keyboard buttons and  are correctly detected by reasnow. I tried to analyse USB protocol with software analyzer and it is very likely that problem is on Azeron side, but I am not absolutely sure.
One of the possible solutions is to detect Azeron device and ignore all other signals from analog joystick, except XY values.

are these X and Y signals correct or not?
and if its PID/VID can be provided, it will be very helpful.

I believe that X and Y are correct.
VID: 16D0
PID: 0F3F

USB\VID_16D0&PID_0F3F&REV_0003

Ok so I tried and I am still getting the same issue. RX+(100) is what the I/O monitor is showing constantly. So I can’t change any bindings or anything because if I choose to do so the button press will show up as RX. Not sure what’s causing this as I have had this keypad for at least a year and this is a more recent thing. I have even tried different firmware for the keypad with no difference. I didn’t used to have this problem as I had multiple profiles made with games for this keypad now I am getting this problem. Not sure what other info I can give you to try and help figure it out but I will answer any other questions you have. Also I don’t have this issue if I use other converters.

Hi Richard,

Yes. It is the same for me. RX+(100) is shown as soon as I am switching on I/O monitor.

hi, can you check the PID and VID again?
better to send a screenshot of them to us(support@reasow.com)

if PID and VID are right, RX+(100) shall already be neglected.

Richard I sent an email with the pics. I sent 2 because this keypad allows for digital keyboard translation or analog controller. So I sent the HID/VID for both but I only use controller method with converter/console play

Hi Ilovereasnow,
do you mean your issue has been solved after using the patch?
are you using the same Azeron keypad?
yes, we will definitely add this patch in the future official release.

but we are still checking the details.

Mr. LikeABoss, could you tell what azeron keypad do you have and what firmware is on it? I am using azeron classic with v51 base firmware.
Are you using v45 XIM optimized?

LikeABoss's VID and PID are completely different from you.

Yes, i see that. But i want to understand how it is possible. Azeron.eu makes only two models of keypads, but all are using the same firmware. There are approx. 10 released versions of firmware + 1-2 xim optimized firmware versions.

I have the classic pad running v51 also tried the xim v45 both are still showing up RX+ is being constantly sent from the game pad. The numbers I sent were screen shots straight off my pc. So now I am not sure what to do as it doesn’t seem we can fix this. Just to be clear I am still having the issue of RX+(100) constantly being sent to the s1 so I can’t rebind of do much else as the same signal is on constant feed and it messes up even sub configs I have created within game profiles

I also sent the guy who makes the Azeron a message to see if he can shed some light on the subject and possibly have a fix
