Support for WRC 5 PS4 Game as Preset Game!

Bad news.. about WRC6 Expert Mode Compatibility!!!

It seems there is no compatibility with any other Preset Game profile on Expert Mode!!!! Only works on Legacy Mode!!! IsĀ“nt that really strange??? It looks like the guys that produced this game series donĀ“t allow compatibility to Crosshair Expert Mode!! IĀ“m very sure that WRC6 is originally compatible with a bundle of Steering Wheel Controlers, it even apears in the Options commands, a dedicated item to wheel controlers, but it will not recognize any when Crosshair is used!!!   Shit!!!

And on the Options menu there is an item for detected Steering Wheel Command, which does not work since it wonĀ“t detect the system "Crosshair plus G27" I have!

1. make sure you have updated your wrc6
2. is it on ps4？
3. choose g29 in the settings of wrc6
it should be ok to work in expert mode.

1. ThereĀ“s no update avalable... there is no aditional patch...
2. of course and this is the digital version, bought on Plastation Store
3. that would only be possible if the PS4 would detect it... as I told and repeat once more... PS4 does'nt detect any Steering Wheel Controler plugged in... so...
and no it does'nt work on Expert Mode... same thing happens for WRC5 Esports Edition... as both were produced by same gaming software house.. probably the problem has to do with the controller detection subroutine included in their games...
My PS4 has the firmware updated, so I believe trully that the issue affecting WRC5 and WRC6 must be the one IĀ“m "guessing" on last paragraph...

hi, we have tested wrc6 in expert mode again, no problem.
WRC5'S CONFIG + G27 works well.

but you need to use your DS4 directly and choose steering wheel as controller in game,

As I have to connect it (DS4) to Cross Hair ... in your video that is not shown...if I connect DS4 to Crosshair and start the game, I can only proceed after pressing the "Options" key... but with DS4 connected to Cross Hair the game will not accept such input form the DS4 controller... it acts like no key was pressed.. as simple as that... to make PS4 accept the input from the DS4 I have to disconect it from CrossHair and make press the PS key from controller logging in as main controller to PS4. but then CrossHair will not work and the G27 to G29 emulation will not work....

If you may... tel me how can I do what you are saying that has to be done.. as I see no way of doing it...

1. connect your DS4 to PS4 console wirelessly without Cross Hair,
    start the wrc6 game on console and
    choose steering wheel as controller in game,as showed in the video:

2. then turn off your DS4 and connect it to Cross Hair USB port 1,
    connect your G27 to Cross Hair USB port 2 or 3
    after all these are done, connect Cross Hair to PS4
 
it should work. we have done it without any trouble.

The described "trick" didĀ“nt work!

When I start WRC (5 or 6)  using WS4 (as in 1) the Change Command Option is disabled...

IĀ“ve tryed several different options (with small changes on procedures) and al I can say is that one of them worked.., but.. as I didĀ“nt keep track of each different step that IĀ“ve takne, I must try again (by trial and error sequence) keeping track od steps taken, so I may identify the correct sequence and procedure... I hope that I may find some time to do so later on through the week...

It should be written "Change Controller" option instead.. that command is disabled when I follow your instructions...

I got there alright, but I had to try a different way to get there (Change Controller" option available..)! And as I was not keeping track of the sequence and options taken, IĀ“ll have to go through the whole process again, trial and error, until I discover the sequence again... and taking notes of each step this time, then IĀ“ll be able to recreate the sequence and result, every time IĀ“ll do it...

Once I discover the correct sequence of steps, IĀ“ll tell you what the right sequence is...

Hi Richard!

Maybe thereĀ“s a way to do this with only one DS4 Controller... but I realized I used my full pair of DS4 controllers to achieve this!!! One  connected to Cross Hair nd he other used as normal...

So I connected DS$ to Cross Hair and Cross hair to PS4 (with the G27 wheel also connected of course), turned PS4 on and sarted WRC5 through the other DS4 (wireless mode), only this way the options to choose either Controller or Steering Wheel are both activated... in fact that is what happens for someone that has the real G29 wheel... as he must have also the DS4 controller... probably...

If I proceed as you wrote, PS4 wil not recognize any Wheel controler connected to it,  and so it will not let you choose the Wheel controler option...

thanks for reply, it's a bit complicated if 2 controllers are in need, but it might help others.
we have tested on WRC6 not WRC5, will this be the reason that you can not get the same result?
