cross hair and MMO mouse
« on: May 12, 2016, 08:32:15 PM »
Dear Reasnow, just bought your nice converter. the problem is about my mmo mouse.
you know the mmo mouse get 12 buttons on the side, those buttons output like a keyboard.
And since on the converter we get dedicated INs for keyboard and mouse, it means it wont recognize a keyboard input from the mouse usb dedicated port.
the question is: can you update the firmware to let the right usb accept keyboard inputs?
The side buttons on mmo mouses are so confortables...

we found no problem with MMO mouse,
if you like to use its extra buttons, you should
set them as standard keys of keyboard or mouse,
do not set them as combination keys or special function keys. such as,
Ctrl + C, Volume Up/Down, DPI up/down, all these keys are all unacceptable.

You may watch the second half of this video for more info.

After that, you may map your controller's buttons to this extra buttons
by Cross Hair Manager, or map them in game, as showed in this video:

Any problem , you may still reply here.

i'm sorry but it's not working as you said. I play destiny and...
1) I assign the 12 left side buttons of the mmo mouse to standard keyboard buttons (for example i use numbers from 1 to 10 then + and -) on mouse software and save.
2)then i map game buttons on reasnow software, i also use autodetect function and the software recognize fine when i press the side buttons of the mmo mouse as numbers on keyboard inputs and save.

But when i try the configuration on destiny, the mouse side buttons are not working at all, instead if i press numbers buttons on keyboard, they are mapped and working fine.

Can you verify if the mouse usb port of the reasnow crosshair can handle keyboard inputs? cause atm its working fine every button that is a mouse button (left middle right etc. etc.) and it's not working for the side buttons since they are standard keyboard buttons. and the converter expecting keyboard buttons by the keyboard usb port (the left one).

actually everything working fine if i assign mouse forward and mouse backward at side button number 1 and 2 in the mouse software. then the reasnow software autodetect mouse forward and mouse backward when i press 1 and 2 on mmo mouse side buttons.
But i dont know what to assign to have the others ten buttons working fine, as i said standard keyboard buttons are not working at all.

one more thing, please set your side buttons as 1,2,3,4... , and save.
then use this mouse on another PC, which has no mouse driver.

and try these side buttons to see whether they can output 1,2,3,4... or not.

we want to make sure your mouse can really output these keys without the support of its driver.

yep, i assigned "mouse forward" and "mouse backward" to my side buttons 1 and 2. I saved and use them in destiny trough the crosshair converter. so yes this mouse have an internal memory. it is a Utechsmart Venus.

Anyway i will try on a different pc (where i didnt install the mouse software) if the side buttons outputs are 1,2,3,4,5 etc
