Reasnow s1 freezes and stops responding

Hi Dev Team!

My device stops responding and freezes after some gameplay. I tried both options mouse and keyboard and controller. I use 2.0 usb cable, the controller connection seems working properly as the green light flashes correctly. I do not know how to fix it. It appears that the problem repeats consistently. Please help!

By the way the type 2.0 usb cable is the original cable from ps4 console.

similar issues are caused by some bad connection between PS4 controller and ReaSnow S1,
or they might also be caused by some bad connection between ReaSnow and PS4 console.

so it's better to try some good and short USB cables for the connections.

Hi Richard!
I think I figured out the problem was with the dualshock. It was not original controller and caused troubles. Once I connected the original one, everything started working smoothly.

I found it by connecting the back button attachment to the fake controller, so when I connected it the controller didn't show the led screen several times)

My device started disconnecting again, even when I have replaced usb cables 2.0 for the short ones. Also I am using original dualshock, please help!

here some more tips for such issue(no beeps and S1 stops responding)
1.  try some good and short USB cables to connect controller to S1
2.  try changing the USB cable between S1 and game console
3.  power off your game console and remove the power cable, then reboot your console
4.  upgrade game console to the latest version
5.  try a new controller
6.  change your keyboard or mouse, then try it again.
     some peripherals might cause this issue too.

I think your firm needs to do something with the usb cables or firmware updates, because disconnection during intense gameplay causes major inconveniences. Maybe provide good usb cables in the bundle with the reasnow s1 device.

Hi Alenk,

as a converter, many peripherals and devices are connected it,
and at least 2 cables are involved to make sure it can work properly,
sometimes the game console(e.g. PS4) will have some issue of its own,
so we do have to check things one by one,
not all issues are caused by our converters.

we will definitely look into this that you reported,
but for now, please follow the above tips.

I have another qery: can this issue be related to the improperly created macros, for e.g. rapid fire set to 20ms instead of 40ms? Or unassigning buttons on the dualshock connected via bluetooth (the unassigned buttons are used as a hotkeys for macros for the purpose of quick response)? Because when I run macros testing while shooting in the custom made game there's no issue, however when I run macros in the multiplayer when I start shooting it immediately causes disconnection.

Worked after turning off console and rebuilding hard drive.
