Dualshock 4 v1 compatability

Just bought the s1 today. Wanted to just confirm that the old ds4 v1 does not work as I cannot change the communication method, otherwise will need to send it back for a return.

no need to change the communication method for old DS4 on PS4, JUST SKIP this step.

Thanks. I've just encountered another issue. I've just downloaded the app from the play store and it is asking me to download the latest app. Not sure what to do next.
