Splatoon 2 - Turn Speed Adjustment
« on: July 05, 2018, 07:35:31 AM »
Hello Richard!

I've been successfully using the Cross Hair for Fortnite on the Nintendo Switch and have absolutely been loving it! I played around with the Curve Editor and have adjusted it accordingly to near perfect for my own preferences. Recently I've been enjoying it with Splatoon 2, however I was incapable of adjusting the turn speed on this particular game. It seems that the Curve Editor doesn't work the same way as it does on Fortnite. Is there any workaround for this, or does Splatoon 2 simply not function in a way where faster turn speed would ever work? I am aware that within the game there is a button to recenter the camera when turning your character, however I heavily prefer the swinging of a mouse to perform the action instead. Can you help me out?

1. make sure Splatoon 2's config has been activated while playing
2. set game sensitivity to MAX as showed in "Cross Hair for Switch Instructions.pdf"
3. you can also find a sample macro in page 6 of this manual, which can help you resetting the view all the while.
4. if more help in need, please provide some more details of yours, such as mouse dpi/report rate, hip/ads, game sensitivity settings, etc.

1. Splatoon 2's profile is always selected when playing Splatoon 2.
2. Game sensitivity is and has been set to max.
3. Which macro are you referring to? I have checked page 6 of almost all manuals, but have yet to find one with instructions pertaining to this in terms of a "macro."
4. Mouse DPI: 7500 Report Rate: 1000 HIP: 10.00 ADS: 10.00 Game Sensitivity: MAX

Richard, my main question is whether or not Curve Editor will work for this game, or something that would work like similarly, in that the turn speed of a mouse will translate to faster turn speed ingame. If I swing my mouse quickly to the right, the character will turn 180 degrees, instead it just moves slightly to the right. With Curve Editor, it actually moves slower. Only way to turn is to keep swinging the mouse, or use the recenter button.

our curve will work, of course.
but splatoon 2's problem is the max turning speed is limited to a very low level in this game,
although you set it to max.

so if you move mouse faster, the working time will be less than before.
if you can't get faster speed from game, you will not get bigger turning with a faster movement.

SOME things you may also try:
1. set your mouse report rate to 500 or 250.
2. change your habit to use a mouse for this game, do not move it too fast.
3. "Cross Hair for Switch Instructions.pdf", this manual can be found in zip file in this topic:
