yes, you can use a bluetooth dongle to connect SONY MOVE controller wirelessly to Cross Hair.
it's better to use a bluetooth dongle with CSR8510 chip in it,
for our test is based on that kind of dongle.

Thx, one question: Do i have to pair the dongle with the Controller at the PC before? Or does the dongle recognize the controller automaticly?

you should pair SONY MOVE on Cross Hair,
here some steps for that.

Pairing
1. Connect DualShock 4 to USB PORT 1 of Cross Hair,
and connect Bluetooth dongle and SONY MOVE to USB PORT 2 and 3 of Cross Hair
2. connect Cross Hair to PS4, Cross Hair will do the pairing automatically
3. When pairing is done, Cross Hair LOGO will be in a breathing state.
4. unplug SONY MOVE from Cross Hair and press PS button on it,
it will work wirelessly on PS4 through transmitting of Cross Hair.

Does the official Sony Dualshock 4 USB dongle have the CSR8510 chip? Would this work to connect the Dualshock 4 controller or does that have to be connected wired?

Hi Richard,

Sorry for confusion. I’m actually a disabled gamer on PS4 console. I use crosshair to use a keyboard in addition to a DualShock 4. Right now I have my controller wired to crosshair as well as my keyboard but I’d prefer to use my DS4 controller on Bluetooth to the crosshair but I’m unclear if that would work. I’m aware of the authentication issue on the PS4 and why a DS4 controller probably needs to be wired and permanently connected but I just wondered if using a Sony Bluetooth adapter in the crosshair usb socket would allow the DS4 to connect wirelessly or if it would try to connect direct to the PS4.

Thanks,

Steve

when DS4 is connected to the official Bluetooth dongle, there is no authentication data activated,
so that will not work.

but if you can use cross hair manager v4.X.X,
you can just wired DS4 to USB port 1 of cross hair,
and use a CSR8510 dongle to connect SONY MOVE/DS3/Xbox One S controller wirelessly to Cross Hair,
a wireless keyboard can also be used in this way.
