I can't make it work
« on: September 15, 2017, 04:30:44 AM »
Hi there, new to this forum.
Read all the necessary stuff before buying crosshair.
So today the item came, downloaded new manager for pc, connected the device and did an firmware update. So good so far.
Loaded Project Cars as startup and chose steering wheel logitech dfgt.
Saved an disconnected the device.

At that point I guess I did everything right.

Where I'm not sure is the connection to ps4.

Ps4 is off, I connect the controller to crosshair and the steering wheel.

Controller is off and it's a wireless one, I have none with cable, I cannot even tell the ps4 to use it with usb(maybe that's the thing)

I can start the ps4 with the button on the console, crosshair beeps once controller turns on by itself.

But there's no reaction from the steering wheel, buttons are ok they work, pedals too but nothing else.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you

richard

yes, you need to connect your controller to PS4 by a suitable USB cable, that is sure.

please watch the following videos for a referrence.

you might need to set your game on ps4.
choose wheel as the input device and so on.

Ok I guess then that de usb cable that came with the box is just for battery loading and not for data. I'll check that.  Thx

Ok so I found a suitable cable in my partsbox and now it's fine.
The other problem was that the powercord of the steering wheel is corrupted. I have to rebuild it, that's why the GT sign didn't light up and I didn't noticed that.

I just have to calibrate the wheel in the gane and that's another story, force feedback is too strong for me.

Happy now

Cheers
