[BUG] Nintendo Switch reverse mouse speed
« on: August 29, 2017, 11:16:59 AM »
Ok. I just noticed this:

If I move the mouse faster, I will turn slower. If I move the mouse slower, I will turn faster.

Please, give it a look.

Logitech G502 1000 poll rate 12000dpi

I can make a video if you need it.

Update on the bug:

I've noticed how by reducing dpi to 1200, this issue dissapears.

Probably 12000 dpi 1000 poll rate is way too much data for the Cross Hair to handle. Maybe its not the device but the nintendo switch itself. Maybe its the switch that cant handle that amount of input.

And although I've made this comment in another post, I'm also writing it here: Input lag with the mouse. I can feel it's not snappy. Using Asus VG247Q monitor. This is more noticeable when I play minecraft on the nintendo switch.

can you export your splatoon 2's config and send it to support@reasnow.com,
12000DPI and 1000hz are completely no problem for us to deal with.
1200DPI will not give you a good aiming for any game consoles.
so we do not suggest you to do that.

and if you can send a video, it will help us too.
just send it to our support email.

Its the STOCK settings that come with the driver once I select Splatoon 2 profile. I will make a video and post it here in a couple hours.

Thanks for the fast response.

Here I provide the link to the video where you can very clearly see that moving the mouse fast results in slower and less movement.

https://youtu.be/rkVq8TgSBDw

Stock Splatoon 2 settings from the CrossHair device. Ingame settings modified to max speed (5) and gyroscope disabled. Logitech G502 12.000 dpi and 1.000 poll rate.

we will not call this an input lag.
but we can explain this to you.

currently, we are using a stick's channel to send mouse data to SWITCH, but the MAX speed of a stick is limited.(MAX=5, for Splatoon 2 )
for your current settings(12000DPI,1000HZ, HIP=20)
your turning speed has reached MAX even if you move mouse slowly.

when you swipe too fast, your mouse will reach the limitation very soon, but the hold time is much lesser than slow movement.
so you will get a smaller turning when you do that.

you have 2 options:
1. set your DPI and HIP to a smaller one, so your turning speed will not reach MAX, while moving mouse slowly.
for example, DPI=8000, HIP=10, or smaller ones

2. or you can adjust your mouse skills a bit, and use a gentle way to move your mouse.

please do all the test with the latest version V3.12.1.
(Delete old Splatoon 2's config, and add a new one.)

is there any other way to solve this issue?

The reverse mouse speed is nearly impossible to play Splatoon 2, and it is so sad after spending money to buy Crosshair.

>>set your DPI and HIP to a smaller one, so your turning speed will not reach MAX, while moving mouse slowly.
for example, DPI=8000, HIP=10, or smaller ones

No help for the game. Camera speed is too slow while DPI 8000 and HIP 10, no way to aim.

>>or you can adjust your mouse skills a bit, and use a gentle way to move your mouse.

Still got reverse mouse speed issue.

DPI=12000, HIP=50 mouse speed works great while moving mouse slowly. is there anyway to keep the speed while moving mouse fast?

if DPI=12000, HIP=50, when you move mouse slowly,
it has reach the Camera's MAX speed in game.

so when you move mouse faster, the speed will not raise any more,
while the moving time of mouse is lessened.
