Expert mode for XBOX one progress
« on: August 07, 2016, 06:39:37 AM »
Hi Richard,

I know this topic has been coming up A LOT, but is there any progress at all with this? I'm sure the crosshair community would like to hear something other than were working on it.  I have no wish to be rude, so please do not see this post as such.  I bought the crosshair specifically for this reason, though i have found it super useful for other games as well.

I'm sure its hard to do, but any kind of info would be great.  Maybe share how far you've gotten with the community? Perhaps some of the more technically inclined can assist with suggestions?  I'd love to help in anyway that I could, sadly, I'm a network admin.  Not sure how much help that would be to you lol.

Thanks!

richard

Hi Geese,
We know this is a hot feature you all are waiting for, and we have devoted much of our time these days in doing it.
But we met an obstacle to work around the authentication process of Xbox One,
althoug we have made it before for controllers, but the same strategy failed to make wheel recognizable by the consle.

but i wonder:

the G29 ( or 590 ? one of this 2 very expensive robbing off wheels) is fully compatible to XBox
is it not to make, to read the System out there, how it works, and to find a way to register the Wheel as a Wheel ?

Controlers are inside the Xbox, they are in the bundle.
And Keyboard an Mouse, okay...

but the hottest Question and Need for the Converter i think, is a Wheel ?

see you any chance in this ?

G29 is for PS4, you need a G920, which is compatible to X1.
But you suggestion is on the right track,
we should use X1 controller as a source of authentication,
and translate all languages of G27 to that of a recognizable wheel by X1.
that is what we are doing.

Could one not take the signal that comes from the G920 and "copy" that to a profile and have the official controller stand in for the wheel? Perhaps thats an idea?

Hi Geese,
Basically you are right, but we will prefer the word “decipher” than "copy".
If we just copy the language of G920, G27 will not understand it.
So we need to learn every word of the two languages and do the translation.

That is part of the job.

sorry that we have no plan to resume this task under current conditions.
no new resource can help us to crack its communication protocols.
